1. Insurance Cover
Delz Couriers Ltd maintains Goods in Transit (GIT) insurance with cover up to £20,000 per
consignment, protecting against loss or damage whilst goods are in our care, custody, and control
during transit. All services are provided in accordance with our active insurance policy. Proof of
insurance is available upon request.
2. Limitation of Liability
Unless agreed in writing prior to collection, liability shall not exceed the declared value of the goods
and is capped at £20,000 per consignment. Compensation will not exceed the reasonable
replacement cost (subject to proof). Where no value is declared, liability may be limited under
standard UK transport conditions including RHA Terms.
3. Declaration of Value
Customers must declare the full and accurate value of goods at the time of booking. Failure to do
so may result in reduced or invalidated claims.
4. Excluded & Restricted Goods
Unless agreed in writing, excluded items include: cash, jewellery, fine art, antiques, hazardous
materials, perishables, and goods exceeding £20,000. All high-risk goods must be declared and
approved in advance.
5. Packaging & Loading Responsibility
All goods must be securely packaged for transport. Delz Couriers Ltd is not liable for insufficient
packaging, pre-existing damage, incorrect labelling, or customer-loaded consignments.
6. Claims Procedure
Claims must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of delivery and include photographic evidence
and proof of value (invoice or receipt). Failure to comply may result in claim rejection.
7. Exclusion of Consequential Loss
Delz Couriers Ltd shall not be liable for loss of profit, business interruption, indirect losses, or delays
caused by factors beyond our control including traffic, weather, or accidents.
8. Additional Insurance
Additional or enhanced insurance cover can be arranged upon request, subject to underwriting
approval and additional charges.
